Our timeline is the one and only student finance timeline that includes everything you need to know! We’ve included all the dates that matter to you, such as your UCAS deadlines and A-Level Exams.
September 2024 to December 2024
3 September 2024: UCAS Applications open!
Completed UCAS Undergraduate applications can be sent to UCAS. All sections must be complete, the reference added, and the application fee paid.
January 2025 to March 2025
29 January 2025 at 18:00: UCAS Deadline for most undergraduate and conservatoire undergraduate dance, drama, or musical theatre courses.
Applications can be sent after this, but providers cannot guarantee they’ll give it equal consideration. For more info.
26 February 2025: UCAS Extra opens
If you’ve used all five choices and not holding an offer, you can add another choice using Extra.
March 2025: Student finance applications open!
Full-time undergraduate applications will open in March 2025! Sign up to our mailing list and we’ll let you know when you can apply.
April 2025 to June 2025
12 May 2025: A-Level Exams start!
A-Level exams start from Monday 12 May 2025. Before you start your exams, make sure to apply for student finance before the new student deadline!
14 May 2025: UCAS decisions start coming back!
Decisions usually start coming back from universities or colleges if you made your application on or before 29 January 2025. For more info.
5 June 2025: UCAS Reply date
If you received your last decision on or before 14 May 2025, your reply date is 5 June 2025 (Except if you’re using Extra to find a place). For more info.
24 June 2025: A-Level Exams finish!
A-Level exams finish on Friday 25 June 2025! If you forgot to apply for student finance, you should do this as soon as possible.
July 2025 to September 2025
4 July 2025: UCAS Extra closes
5 July 2025: UCAS Clearing opens!
Clearing opens, and vacancies are shown in the UCAS search tool. For more info.
17 July 2025: University decisions due for applications submitted by 30 June
Decisions usually start coming back from universities or colleges if you made your application on or before 30 June 2025. For more info.
23 July 2025: UCAS Reply date
If you received your last decision on or before 17 July 2025, your reply date is 23 July 2025 (including Extra choices) For more info.
14 August 2025: A-Level Results Day
Good luck for your A-Level Results Day! If your university or college choice changes, remember to update your student finance application. For more info.
1 September 2025: Start of the new academic year
The 2025 to 2026 academic year starts. Good luck for the start of your course!
